Unlimited Mailbox Undergoes Rigorous Testing to Ensure Full Integration with
EMC Centera Content-Addressed Storage (CAS)
New York, NY, March 6, 2007 -- Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. (CGS), a leading provider of software, enabling technology and services and global sourcing to organizations worldwide, today announced its unlimited Mailbox™, an Email management solution, is now EMC Centera Proven. This designation is a result of unlimited Mailbox testing for functionality and compliance with EMC Centera, the world’s leading content-addressed storage (CAS) system.
EMC Centera ‘Proven’ status assures that customers using Unlimited Mailbox by CGS can effectively deploy the solution with EMC Centera. Unlimited Mailbox seamlessly integrates a company’s current set of business practices, thereby requiring little end-user training. It also allows companies to reduce the cost of e-mail storage by automatically migrating older e-mail files from online e-mail storage to less expensive media.

Unlimited Mailbox with EMC Centera provides customers with a scalable and cost-effective corporate e-mail management solution. Users enjoy the benefits of having access to all their e-mail without having to call the help center, resulting in increased productivity at both the employee and technical support level. Administrators endorse this solution because it allows a retention policy to be set for e-mail and attachments by user, by group, or companywide. Unlimited Mailbox also supports corporate efforts to meet regulatory and compliance drivers while permitting e-discovery readiness. Several features are implemented to achieve storage optimization. In turn, costs are reduced through decreased demand for server storage. Unlimited Mailbox code was developed using J2EE architecture making it platform independent. Whereas no code resides on the primary e-mail server, the product does not adversely interfere with client software warranty agreements.
To become EMC Centera Proven, Unlimited Mailbox underwent a series of rigorous tests. These tests validated functionality requirements as stipulated by EMC, including compatibility with basic EMC Centera capabilities, single-instance storage, compliance, retention and technical support standards.
